Mediaeval troubadour lyrics with witty new illustrations‘In jest, the fool tells the truth’, says the proverb. Concertgebouw Maker Anna Danilevskaia and Sollazzo Ensemble illustrate how that worked in the late Middle Ages: criticism from under the fool's hood could be sharp, but it was elegantly wrapped in melodious polyphony. Young Belgian illustrator Chrostin underpins the programme with her drawings.
